Frequently asked questions

  • Which size tray would be best?

Generally, the large size trays are more suitable for men and the small size trays are more suitable for women. The top teeth trays in both sachets are a universal size and fit for all. The lower teeth trays are either small or large as indicated on the sachet. If you make the tray and are not happy, you can try the other size.

  • Are the trays easy to mould to your teeth?

The trays are a little more complicated than our strips, however if you follow our step by step instructions to the letter, you are more likely going to get the tray perfect first time.

  • How many times can I re-make the mould (incase I get it wrong)?

The trays are made up of a unique patented membrane that do not lose any of its elasticity by re-making. You can re-make the trays as often as you need to make the perfect tray. An average person will make the tray up correctly after 1 or 2 tries.

  • Do I have to re-make the mould during the treatment?

Once you have made your mould and you are happy, you won’t have to re-make this during your treatment. Just ensure you rinse it with cold water and dry it after use, and store it in its storage case to ensure it isn’t damaged.

  • Is there a best way to make the mould?

We recommend you should sit in front of a mirror, so it is easier to see what you are doing, as well as line the trays up in the correct position on your teeth, and not overlapping onto your gums.

  • My mould doesn’t seem to be giving me a close fit to my teeth, what could I be doing wrong?

The most important thing is to ensure you put one tray in to the bowl at a time – so the two trays don’t stick together. Also, the water must be poured immediately into a bowl from a kettle which has just boiled. If the water cools just a fraction, this will impact on the making of your mould.

  • Are the trays easy to use and comfortable to use, once I’ve made my upper and lower moulds?

These unique mouldable trays ensure you have a perfect fit that is comfortable in use. We do not believe the one-size-fits-all works for all. The design allows you to put the whitening gel in the right place for your teeth for more accurate whitening, and you only need to wear the trays once a day.

  • Where should I store the whitening gel once opened?

We recommend storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and below 25’C.

  • Is it safe if I swallow some of the gel during use?

Gel is not harmful if you swallow it during use. However, if secretion becomes too much, we recommend you spit out the excess saliva as it develops.

  • Why is your moulded tray better than whitening treatments that use a rubber tray?

Our patented mouldable tray allows you to make a mould that is unique to the contours of your teeth. Therefore, no area of your teeth will be missed. Also, the gel comes into much closer contact to your teeth as the mould is made to fit your own individual mouth or you can target particular areas for superior whitening. A rubber tray is one-size fits all, and therefore it won’t be the perfect fit for everyone’s mouth, and it won’t allow for close contact of a whitening gel.

  • Why is your moulded tray better than whitening treatments that use a pre-filled trays?

Our patented mouldable tray allows you to make a mould that is unique to the contours of your teeth. Therefore, no area of your teeth will be missed. Also, the gel comes into much closer contact to your teeth as the mould is made to fit your own individual mouth or you can target particular areas for superior whitening. Like a rubber tray, pre-filled trays are a one-size fits all, and the gel can often over flow when putting them onto your teeth.

  • How long does this need to be used for?

The whitening gel and mouldable tray delivers safe and effective teeth whitening in just 5 days. The whitening gel works fast, as in just 30 minutes, once a day you can see results of up to 8 shades whiter teeth.

  • Is this a safe whitening method?

Yes. As well as being clinically tested for performance they are also independently tested for product safety and comply with all European safety regulations for cosmetic products.

  • Will the whitening gel make my teeth sensitive?

Wisdom Intense White Professional teeth whitening system is not known to cause sensitivity. Peroxide based whitening treatments can cause issues with sensitivity, but Wisdom Intense White Professional is peroxide free.

  • How long will the whitening effect last?

Using Wisdom Intense White Professional teeth whitening system is not a replacement for a good oral care regime. Brushing for 2 minutes, twice a day, with whitening toothpaste and also cleaning between teeth to reach all tooth surfaces, will keep your new whiter smile at its best for longer. If you smoke or eat/drink staining foods regularly or you just want to boost your smile then the treatment can be repeated as required.

  • My teeth are the same shade as before I started the treatment/my teeth shade has seen a minimum improvement – why?

As with all non-peroxide whitening products Wisdom Intense White Professional can only remove stains to reveal the natural colour of enamel underneath. If no surface stains are present then they cannot deliver whiter teeth beyond their natural colour.
